Sandria believes our lives are the greatest stories ever written, and that there is power in (re)writing and telling your own life’s story.

A lover of words since childhood, Sandria’s career as a writer and editor spans more than 15 years. Prior to joining GirlTrek, Sandria served as Executive Editor of the award-winning health and wellness website, BlackDoctor.org (BDO). In 2016, the National Minority Quality Forum (NMQF) recognized Sandria in their inaugural class of "40 Under 40 Leaders In Health.” She was also recognized in 2016 as a Chicago Defender Women of Excellence award recipient.

Ever passionate about personal development, community volunteerism, and empowering Black women and girls, Sandria regularly creates and facilitates workshops in yoga (CYT, 2013), journaling and other self-care practices. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
